سمو الأمير عبدالعزيز بن عبدالله : الحج أكبر تجمع للإسلام والمحبة والتقرب إلى الخالق جل وعلى على صعيد مكة المكرمة

افتتح مساء الخميس 26 يناير 2012م في المتحف البريطاني بلندن معرض "الحج: رحلة إلى قلب العالم الإسلامي " بحضور جمع كبير من السياسيين والبرلمانيين و الأكاديميين و الشخصيات المهمة في بريطانيا يتقدمهم صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن عبد الله بن عبدالعزيز نائب وزير الخارجية وعضو مجلس إدارة مكتبة الملك عبدالعزيز العامة و صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن نواف بن عبد العزيز سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين في لندن و معالي الأستاذ فيصل بن عبدالرحمن بن معمر مستشار خادم الحرمين الشريفين والمشرف العام على مكتبة الملك عبد العزيز العامة .
و في بداية الحفل الذي رعاه صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير تشارلز ولي عهد المملكة المتحدة و أمير ويلز ألقى  صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن عبد الله كلمة رحب فيها بالأمير تشارلز والحضور ومقدراً مبادرة المتحف البريطاني بإقامة أول معرض عن الحج بمشاركة مكتبة الملك عبدالعزيز العامة. وأشار سموه إلى أهمية الحج لكونه أكبر تجمع للإسلام والمحبة والتقرب إلى الخالق جل وعلا على صعيد مكة المكرمة، ذلك الحرم الآمن الذي تهفو إليه أفئدة أكثر من مليار وستمائة مليون مسلم يومياَ. كما بين سموه إلى أن مشاركة المملكة العربية السعودية في هذا المعرض الثقافي تهدف إلى التعريف بالحج وإبراز الجوانب الإنسانية لرحلة الحج منذ القدم وحتى الآن، وعرض ما تحتويه متاحفها من قطع متخصصة ونادرة وشواهد تحكي المعاني الإنسانية لدى المسلمين من جميع الحضارات والثقافات.
و قال سمو الأمير عبد العزيز: " إن ما سخرته المملكة العربية السعودية من جهود ملموسة بهدف أن يعم السلام العالم بأسره من خلال مبادرات"رجل السلام"  الملك عبد الله بن عبدالعزيز, ومشاريعه الإنسانية تشمل خدمة الحج وتطوير المشاعر المقدسة في مكة المكرمة".
ثم ألقى راعي الحفل صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير تشارلز كلمة قال فيها :" إنه لشرف عظيم أن أرعى هذه المناسبة الكبيرة عن واحد من أركان الإسلام"، ثم رحب بصاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبد العزيز بن عبدالله الذي ذكر أن حضوره إلى لندن خصيصاً للمعرض يدل على قيمة المعرض العالية للمسلمين وغير المسلمين على حداً سواء.
و أردف الأمير تشارلز: " أن هذه الرحلة التي يقوم بها المسلمون إلى مكة كل عام لا تقتصر على الجانب الجسدي في الوصول إلى الكعبة ولكن هناك جانباً روحياً مهماً في هذه الرحلة يمثله عنوان المعرض" رحلة إلى قلب الإسلام".كما بين أن حج (25) ألفاً من المسلمين في بريطانيا وحدها ليوضح كيفية ارتباط المسلمين بهذه الشعيرة العظيمة، وأشار سموه إلى أن الحج يعكس وحدة الجنس البشري الذي يتجه إلى الخالق من جميع أنحاء العالم من خلال استمرار الحج عبر القرون. وقال: " إن المعرض يعكس هذه الصفة العالمية للحج".
وفي نهاية كلمته قدم ولي عهد بريطانيا عرفاناً وتقديراً خاصاً للمملكة العربية السعودية بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله بن عبدالعزيز على إستضافة الحجاج وتقديم جميع التسهيلات لهم أخذاً بهدي الرسول محمد (صلى الله عليه وسلم) والتقاليد الإسلامية التي تعود إلى عهد إبراهيم الخليل (عليه السلام) الذي بنى الكعبة.
وقد شرح الدكتور نيل ماك جروجر مدير المتحف البريطاني أهداف المعرض وأقسامه مبينا أهمية الحج باعتباره الركن الخامس للإسلام وأنه من أعظم الظواهر في العالم، و له أثر عظيم في حياة كثير من الناس. وأشار ماك جروجر إلى أن المعرض يقدم الحج من ناحيتين الأولى التجربة الروحية التي يمر بها الحجاج والثانية الوضع اللوجستي لمكان الحج والمشاعر المقدسة.
و قال مدير المتحف البريطاني: " إن وضع معرض عن الحج لم يكن أمراً سهلا، ولذا كان واجباَ شكر كل من ساهم في تقديم المعروضات وفي مقدمتهم مكتبة الملك عبدالعزيز العامة". كما أشار إلى جهود المملكة العربية السعودية في خدمة الحجاج وضيافتها لهم بقيادة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله بن عبدالعزيز؛ حيث ذكر أن المتحف يشرف بوجود صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير عبدالعزيز بن عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز اليوم في الافتتاح.
و في ختام كلمته شكر الأستاذ ماك جروجر كل من سفير خادم الحرمين الشريفين صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن نواف بن عبد العزيز ومعالي الأستاذ فيصل بن عبدالرحمن بن معمر مستشار خادم الحرمين الشريفين والمشرف العام على المكتبة على جهودهم في إنجاح المعرض.
بعد هذا الحفل الخطابي بدأت جولة الضيوف في المعرض للإطلاع على ما تحتويه من معروضات وأفلام وصور ومخطوطات نادرة.
يذكر أن مشاركة مكتبة الملك عبدالعزيز العامة في المعرض كانت من خلال عرض الإنجازات وتوسعة الحرمين منذ عهد الملك عبدالعزيز _طيب الله ثراه_ حتى الآن، والتعريف بالخدمات التي تقدمها المملكة العربية السعودية للحجاج والمعتمرين، كما أن المكتبة قامت بالتنسيق بين المتحف البريطاني والمتاحف والمؤسسات والسعودية لعرض (51) ما بين قطع متحفية متخصصة ونادرة منها أجزاء من ستارة الكعبة المشرفة وصور نادرة عن مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة إضافة إلى مواد متحفية لدرب زبيدة ومخطوطات وصور وأفلام نادرة بعضها يعرض لأول مرة، وذلك للتعريف برحلة الحج منذ ألاف السنين وحنى الآن.كما احتوت المشاركة على عرض مجسم لتوسعة خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبد الله بن عبدالعزيز للحرم المكي الشريف وصور حديثة للحرمين ومشاريع المشاعر المقدسة.

The official opining of the Hajj Exhibition: “A Journey into the heart of the Islam “ was opened on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the British Museum in London in the presence of a large gathering of politicians, parliamentarians, academics and important figures in Britain, led by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Member of the Board of King Abdulaziz Public Library, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in London and HE Mr. Faisal Bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar, General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library.
In the beginning of the ceremony, hosted by HRH Prince Charles Crown Prince of Britain and Prince of Wales,  HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah delivered a speech in which he welcomed Prince Charles, the audience and the guests of the exhibition. He appreciated the initiative of the British Museum and having the partnership of the first exhibition on the Hajj in Britain with the participation of King Abdulaziz Public Library. He highlighted the importance of pilgrimage for being the largest gathering of Islam, goodness, and devotion to God the Creator on the plain of of Makkah; a safe sanctuary devoid of harm and violence and where pilgrims are devoted for the pure and lofty worship of the Creator. Prince Abdulaziz pointed out that Saudi Arabia's participation in this cultural exhibition aims to introduce the pilgrimage and to highlight the humanitarian aspects of pilgrimage since ancient times until now, and to display in this museum the rare objects and artefacts as living evidences of the humanitarian values from diverse Muslim cultures and civilizations.
Prince Abdulaziz addressed the efforts of King Abdullah bi Abdulaziz saying: " Tangible efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia to spread peace all over the world through the initiatives of the Man of Peace; King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his humanitarian projects include the service of the Hajj and the development of the Holy Sites’ facilities in Makkah."
Then, the patron of the event HRH Prince Charles delivered a speech in which he said: “I cannot tell you what a pleasure it is to open this splendid exhibition celebrating the Hajj, one of the pillars of Islam". He went on to say that the Hajj is of the greatest possible significance to the spiritual and temporal lives of Muslim people across the entire world”.  The Prince of Wales welcomed Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah who came to London especially for the exhibition which demonstrates the value of the exhibition for Muslims and non- Muslims alike.
Prince Charles emphasized the spiritual aspect of this trip made by Muslims to Mecca every year which is reflected in the subtitle of the exhibition:" Journey to the heart of Islam“. He also took note of the twenty-five thousand Muslims in Britain who go on Hajj every year which explains how it affects Muslims performing this ritual, and reflects the unity of the human race from all over the world through the continued pilgrimage over the centuries. He said: "The exhibition reflects the universality of the Hajj”.
At the end of his speech, the Crown Prince of Britain offered special tribute to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz on the hospitality to pilgrims in providing all facilities to them taking example from the guidance of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the Islamic tradition dating back to the era of Abraham (peace be upon him) who built the Ka’ba.
Neil McGregor Director of the British Museum gave a few words on the objectives of the exhibition and its sections indicating the importance of the Hajj as the fifth pillar of Islam and the greatest phenomenon in the world which has a great impact in the lives of many people. Mr. McGregor said that the exhibition offers a look into the Hajj as a spiritual experience and explaining its logistics.
The Director of the British Museum thanked all those involved in providing artefacts to the exhibition, led by King Abdulaziz Public Library and pointed to the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the service of pilgrims and hospitality accorded to them under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
At the end of his speech, Mr. McGregor thanked the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques HRH Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz and HE Mr. Faisal bin Muammar Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the General Supervisor of the library on their efforts to make the exhibition a success.
After the short ceremony, guests toured the exhibition enjoying all departments and watching a short film on pilgrimage.
King Abdulaziz Public Library contributed to the exhibition some of the items reflecting the achievements and the expansion of the Two Holy Mosques since the reign of King Abdulaziz until now. The library has worked as a coordinator between the British Museum and museums and institutions in Saudi Arabia to display 51 rare pieces including parts of the curtain of the Ka’ba and rare pictures of Makkah and Madinah, in addition to artefacts from Darb Zubaydah, manuscripts, photographs and films on the Hajj.
